AES Open House

The Apalachin Elementary School (AES) will host is annual Open House and "Jazzy Night Review" on Thursday, March 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This year's theme is "Kick Up Your Heels For Good Health." Each grade level will have activities planned throughout the month of March to foster healthy living habits.

A group of fourth and fifth grade musicians will be located in the large gym performing selections conducted by Mr. Kearney. The small gym will be the site of the "Be Happy Heart Obstacle Course." Students in Mrs. Ellis, Mrs. Mooney, and Mrs.Seward's rooms will present their biography reports in the form of a play in the auditorium at 6:30. Another play will be presented at 7:30 by the Cluster. Other grade level presentations will be either in the gym or the classroom. Consult the evening's program for exact locations.

Hot dogs, pizza, chips, and soda will be available in the cafeteria. The proceeds will benefit Applause Magazine, the student literary publication.

"Jazzy Night Review" showcases the creative talents of the students through writing, performing musically and dramatically. Student artwork will also be on display throughout the halls and walls of Apalachin Elementary School.

As in the past, additional parking will be available at St. Margaret Mary's parking lot on Pennsylvania Avenue. School buses will run a shuttle service between the church's parking lot and the school.
